About Michael Lee
Michael Lee, Senior Machine Learning Engineer, joined B-Hive Innovations after graduating with an MSc in Computer Science from Newcastle University.
During his time at B-Hive, Michael has developed computer vision and machine learning solutions tackling real problems faced by the agricultural sector. Notably, Michael is the lead developer for HarvestEye, trasitioning into the role for version 1.0 and then leading the development of the latest version: HarvestEye 2.0. Michael takes a leading role in most projects with a vision component, from drone-based yield modelling, to detecting the dry matter of potatoes through hyspectral analysis.
Most recently, Michael has been working on the expansion of HarvestEye for apple crop incorporating multi-object tracking for improved performance. Michael is also the scrum master for the machine learning team, helping to ensure efficient progress across all of the projects here at B-Hive.
